My Loving Companion

I've already decided we're changing vets. I swear I hate learning from these kinds of mistakes. Boo is doing great today. He just finished chowing down on some Hi-Tor, he drank water before I got home (He got Mom to do it) and he is purring and breathing normally. I have even noticed his heart rate has gone down. The good thing is the new vet (Old Town Veterinary Hospital) takes Care Credit. Last time I had looked (Few months ago) they didn't, which was a big factor in me not going over there, besides it being a good 20-30 minute car ride for Boo, which he's dealt with before but not with CRF. In any case, they have his paper on him that I filled out last time I was there with/for my friend when she had to have her cat pts, and I really like the female vet there.
I will see if Boo wants to go out and we will be checking his belly and legs for any left over fluid. I am so glad he is back to talking to me and purring when I talk to him. That is closer to the "old" Boo than what almost was. Thank God for the cat site forums and the people there, or I would have lost Boo, drowning him in fluids. WOO!! Shake that off and get on with this great day, let's see if he wants to take a walk today ;) Everyone have a great day!!

    About Boo

Boo was a 13.5 year old Persian male with Chronic Renal Failure diagnosed 03/15/10. He passed away peacefully on 08/02/10. For more on Boo, visit Boo's Life Story page.

    Boo's Ma

I live in Central North Carolina and take care of 6 cats. 4 outside 'wanderers' and 2 indoor, Boo and Chickster. Boo is 13 years old and Chickster is 1-2. I'd rather be at home with my cats than anywhere else. I devote most of my time to Boo and try not to accidentally ignore Chickie Sue. I am starting to notice they can be a lot like children sometimes! It is not always an easy job!
